Privacy Policy
Last updated August 26, 2026
tapeOS is film intelligence software for football programs, operated by Xcelerate Recruiting. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you request access or contact us — your name, work email, school or program, role, and anything else you choose to send.
- Account information. Where a program uses tapeOS, the information needed to identify authorized users and the program they belong to.
- Program information. What an authorized program connects to or provides through tapeOS. For a football program this typically includes film-related metadata, breakdown information, the program’s own terminology, and similar content the program chooses to use with tapeOS.
- Service information. Basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot tapeOS.
tapeOS Capture
tapeOS Capture is a browser extension used by authorized football staff as part of the film and breakdown workflow. When a user invokes it, it may access information from supported football-film workflows and communicate what is necessary to tapeOS in order to provide Capture’s functionality.
Capture is not intended to monitor unrelated browsing activity, and does not do so.
The microphone is off by default and turns on only when a user deliberately starts it. When it is on, speech is used to propose breakdown entries for that user to review.
tapeOS Capture uses information accessed through the extension only to provide and improve its disclosed football-film and breakdown functionality, secure the service, and comply with law. We do not sell extension data, use it for advertising, or use it for unrelated purposes.
How we use information
- Provide tapeOS and its film-analysis and Capture functionality
- Respond to access and support requests
- Authenticate and authorize users
- Maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the service
- Improve product reliability and functionality
- Comply with legal obligations
Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us operate tapeOS — for example hosting, and the speech and language processing that Capture depends on — and where required by law or to protect the service and its users. Service providers act on our instructions for these purposes.
tapeOS does not sell personal information, and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Program content
Football programs retain their rights in the film, breakdown information, terminology, and other content they provide or connect. tapeOS receives only the limited rights necessary to operate and provide the service. We do not claim ownership of a program’s film or football data.
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure tapeOS, meet our legal and contractual obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and how it is used.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No service can promise perfect security, and we do not.
Schools and football programs
tapeOS is intended for authorized coaches, staff, analysts, and other program personnel. A program is responsible for ensuring it has the appropriate rights and authorization for the information it connects or provides. Where a school or program has additional privacy requirements, those are addressed in a separate written agreement.
Children
tapeOS is intended for authorized coaches, staff, and other adult program personnel. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Write to admin@tapeos.ai and we will respond.
Changes
We may update this policy as tapeOS develops. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will give notice of material changes where required.
